London 2012 Open Weekend: 23-25 July

Registration for events at the London 2012 Open Weekend in July is now open - go to: www.london2012.com. This year, organisations are being asked to create a challenge for their audience - to try something new or take an existing skill to a new level.
Open Weekend, supported by BP, is an annual UK-wide celebration counting down to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Open Weekend 2010 will take place on 23 - 25 July.
London 2012 has been holding a series of workshops across the UK on the Open Weekend 2010, to help organisations get involved. The workshop sessions included the London 2012 marketing and communications strategy for the weekend, what it means to be a 'Hero Event' and future plans for the project.
The remaining workshop takes place on:
• 13 April, Tate Modern, London
The closing date for registering an event is 16 July at 12 noon. But it is advised that, to get the most out of the marketing campaign, registration should be done by 14 June.
