NFASP case studies: new studios created in partnership with social and commercial housing
Acme's two groundbreaking studios schemes in London: Leven Road Studios in Poplar, created by a partnership with social housing provider Swan Housing Group and the Galleria, Peckham, with commercial housing group Barratt Homes.
• Acme's Leven Road Studios is the UK's first 100 per cent affordable, mixed-use residential and artists' studio development, in partnership with a social housing provider, and opened in April 2009.
The scheme was shortlisted for the 2009 Lloyd’s Arts&Business Innovation Prize which recognises “the most innovative and progressive partnerships of the last 18 months”.

• Acme's Galleria is the first project to create artists' studios in partnership with a commercial developer. Barratt Homes worked with affordable studio provider Acme Studios to create the mixed-use development in Peckham, south London in 2006.
The Galleria is featured in Living Places, as one of a number of good practice case studies in which cultural activities have been integral to shaping new places in London through regeneration.
