This is a full-time post with a salary of £21,000 pa, based in Cambridgeshire.
This post is responsible for the effective management of Wysing’s offices, buildings and grounds on its 11-acre site in rural Cambridgeshire and plays a key role in the delivery of artists’ projects within the public programme of exhibitions, projects, installations and events.
The Site and Technical Manager needs to communicate with a range of people including artists, the public and contractors and supports the Operations Director in ensuring that all aspects of the site, physically and technically, are running as they should.
Key Responsibilities:
• To ensure Wysing’s site and buildings are safe, well maintained, fit for purpose and ready for use as required, including: carrying out repairs; managing the cleaning and maintenance of the site, buildings, offices, artists’ studios and grounds; and the engagement and supervision of contractors.
• To liaise with Wysing staff, artists, contractors, suppliers and others to ensure that the necessary technical planning and preparation is carried out for all artistic activity at Wysing, and to give technical support, assistance and advice to artists undertaking residencies, exhibitions, projects and events at Wysing and at off-site locations where appropriate.
