Mission and aims

The misssion of the National Federation of Artists’ Studio Providers (NFASP) is to secure, improve and increase affordable studio provision in the UK.

In recognising the contribution studio organisations and artists make to the social, cultural and creative life of the nation, NFASP acts as advocate, broker and champion, influencing public policy and decision-making in support of the studios sector and artists.

Working in cooperation with other advisory agencies across the UK, NFASP aims to become the principal source of information, advice and support on all aspects of artists' studio provision.

NFASP addresses the needs and concerns of studio organisations, providing support, advice and assistance with:
• property matters
• business and financial management
• organisational structures and governance
• capital development
• legal and compliance work.

NFASP brings together the wealth of experience and expertise of a broad and diverse sector, in particular for the benefit of its studio members with limited capacity and experience. The Federation works to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the studios sector, aiming to achieve shareable benefits for all studio members and, ultimately, for the artists and communities that they support.

Resources:
NFASP commissions strategic research and generates practical and effective resources, including guidance, case studies and briefings. Members and other interested parties have access to publications, case studies and information on the activities and achievements of the studios sector, as well as access to a regularly updated database of studio groups and organisations in the UK.
